When they were younger, Asta and Yuno were left behind in the same church. Although they were always companionable, they also had a strong sense of rivalry. Their goal became very apparent since they took a solemn commitment to one another that one of them would become the magic king in the future. As it turned out, Yuno was a genius in the magical arts; however, Asta was unable to use magic and instead focused on building his physical strength to make up for his lack of magical aptitude.
When Yuno finds herself in a dangerous situation right after obtaining a mystery grimoire with a four-leaf clover instead of the more typical three-leaf clover, her true strength is suddenly revealed. He succeeds in getting his hands on the “Black Clover” anti-magic grimoire. The two individuals, who are rivals as well as friends, embark on their expedition with the same intention.
